Work With Us

Brylan Advocates helps families understand their options, develop a strategy, and move forward with clarity and confidence.  Families work with Brylan Advocates in several different ways depending on their needs. If you are unsure where to begin, the best place to start is an initial consultation. Ongoing services are billed hourly and discussed during the consultation based on the scope of support needed.

Advocacy and Strategy Consultation with Lauren

30 minutes | $100

For families navigating IEP concerns, evaluations, school disputes, or complex educational decisions.  During this 30 minute consultation, we review your concerns, discuss your child’s educational history at a high level, and identify key issues that may be impacting their school experience.  You will leave with a clearer understanding of your situation, practical guidance on possible next steps, and a strategy for moving forward.  If you are unsure where to begin, an initial consultation is often the best first step.

IEP Goal or Progress Review with Holly

45 minutes | $75

Meet with educational advocate Holly Davis, a former teacher with more than 30 years of classroom experience.  In this session, Holly will review your child’s current IEP goals or recent progress reports and help you determine whether the goals are clear, measurable, and appropriately aligned with your child’s needs.

Many parents find it helpful to talk through goals with someone who has spent decades writing and implementing IEP goals in the classroom.  Parents leave with greater clarity and practical questions to bring to their next IEP meeting. This session is ideal for parents who want a focused review of their child’s goals without scheduling a full advocacy consultation.

Coaching Discovery Call with Lauren

20 minutes | Complimentary

This brief introductory conversation is for individuals who are curious about coaching and wondering whether it might be helpful.  During this call, we will talk about what is currently on your mind, what you are hoping to work through, and whether coaching together feels like a good fit.

These conversations are open, supportive, and focused on helping you gain a bit of clarity about what comes next.  This call may be helpful for parents, teens, or young adults who are navigating transitions, feeling stuck, or simply looking for a thoughtful space to reflect and move forward.

Educational Advocacy and Consultation

Educational advocacy often begins when parents feel that something about their child’s educational program is not fully addressing their needs, but they are unsure how to move forward.

Comprehensive Review and Analysis

A comprehensive review is often the starting point for effective advocacy. We carefully analyze your child’s educational records, including evaluations, IEPs, progress reports, and related documents, to understand the full picture.

You will gain clarity on what the data shows, where gaps may exist, and what steps to take next. Following the review, we meet with you to provide clear, practical guidance tailored to your child and your goals.

Meeting Preparation and Representation

School meetings can feel overwhelming, especially when important decisions are on the table. We help you prepare with a clear plan, key priorities, and a strategy for how to approach the discussion.

When appropriate, we attend meetings with you to provide support and ensure conversations remain focused, productive, and centered on your child’s needs.

School Placement Guidance

If you are questioning whether your child’s current placement is appropriate, we help you think through your options with clarity and confidence.

Through careful review of data and your child’s needs, we guide you in evaluating whether a setting is truly supporting meaningful progress and what alternatives may be worth considering.

Correspondence Support

Clear communication with your school team matters. We assist with drafting and reviewing emails and letters so your concerns are expressed clearly, professionally, and effectively.

This helps ensure your voice is heard while keeping communication focused and productive.

Coaching Services

In addition to educational advocacy, Brylan Advocates offers coaching services designed to support parents and older students during periods of stress, transition, or uncertainty. Coaching services are distinct from educational advocacy and do not involve school representation or legal analysis.

Coaching focuses on clarity, confidence, decision making, and personal resilience.

These sessions provide a supportive space to think through challenges, explore options, and move forward with greater confidence.

Parent Coaching

Parent coaching provides a space for reflection, clarity, and personal support during periods of stress, uncertainty, or transition. Many parents find themselves carrying the emotional weight of difficult decisions, competing priorities, and the ongoing demands of family life. Coaching offers a structured and supportive conversation to help parents step back, gain perspective, and reconnect with their own sense of confidence and direction.

These sessions focus on helping parents clarify what matters most, explore different ways of thinking about challenges, and move forward with greater calm and intention. Coaching is not focused on reviewing educational records or communicating with schools. Instead, it centers on the parent’s own experience, mindset, and decision making.

Parent coaching may be helpful for parents who:

• feel overwhelmed by competing responsibilities and expectations
• are navigating difficult decisions or transitions
• want space to think clearly about next steps in their lives or families
• are experiencing stress, fatigue, or burnout
• want to reconnect with their sense of confidence and balance

Coaching sessions provide an opportunity to pause, reflect, and explore new perspectives so parents can move forward feeling more grounded, clear, and empowered.

Coaching for Teens and Young Adults

In select circumstances, Brylan Advocates offers coaching for older adolescents and young adults, generally ages 14 and up.

This coaching supports individuals who are developmentally ready to work on personal goals related to confidence, self-advocacy, and independence. It is focused on skill development and personal growth rather than educational advocacy or therapy.

Coaching for teens and young adults may focus on:
• self advocacy and confidence building
• managing stress and overwhelm
• understanding ADHD related challenges and strengths
• developing executive functioning strategies
• navigating transitions and decision making

Coaching is offered in a supportive, strengths based manner and may involve parent participation or consent depending on age and circumstances

Important Boundaries

Coaching services are not therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment and do not replace clinical or educational services. Coaching focuses on personal development, clarity, and skill building during periods of transition or challenge.

How to Get Started

Most families begin with an initial consultation conducted by video conference. During this conversation, we listen carefully to your concerns and help determine the most appropriate type of support.

Some families benefit from a single consultation, while others choose ongoing advocacy or coaching services. Our involvement is tailored to each family’s needs and comfort level
